NightTunes 1.1 - Now as Lite (FREE) and Pro versionJune 08, 2009

Great news!!!
The latest release (v1.1) of NightTunes is now available in two flavors: Lite and Pro.
While the Pro version has essentially the same features as the previous release, the Lite version comes with a slightly reduced functionality set. Refer to the feature comparison table on the product's page to help you decide, which version is right for you.
Oh yeah...did I mention the Lite version is FREE (as in "no money")?! That's right! On top of that we decided to cut the licensing fee for the Pro version down to 2.99€.

NightTunes - a plugin for iTunes that shuts down your PCApril 09, 2009

I'm proud to announce the release of NightTunes, a simple plugin for iTunes that can automatically shutdown, hibernate or send your PC to standby at the end of a playlist.

If you, like me, enjoy listening to a good audiobook while dozing off to dreamland, but don't want to leave your computer running throughout the entire night...

NightTunes is for you!

No more harddisk clatter noise or blowing CPU fans disturbing your sleep ...plus you're reducing your your energy bill and your carbon footprint :-)

Unlike other shutdown solutions, NightTunes does not depend on user-set timers to determine when to shutdown your PC. That way it is guaranteed that your computer won't bail out on you right in the middle of your goodnight tale, only because you forgot to set the timer right.

Contact Alarm 1.0.1 publishedMarch 04, 2009

Version 1.0.1 of Contact Alarm was published today. It contains some minor bug fixes and can be acquired from the Skype Extras page or via the Extras Manager. For more details consider the product page.

Contact Alarm 1.0 publishedFebruary 25, 2009

Today I released version 1.0 of Contact Alarm. Just like the previous version it allows you to set individual status notifications for all your contacts. So instead of being notfied about each and every status change of every one of your contacts (like the the default Skype notification setting does), Contact Alarm allows you to set these notifications for only a fraction of your buddies. On top of that you can chose, whether you want to be notified by static windows (in case you don't want to miss anything), fade-in-fade-out notifications (either native or through Snarl), sounds or even videos, which will start playing once your friend comes e.g. online.  For those of you who want to play big brother and check out when your contacts go on-/offline, Contact Alarm also features logging, even with individual log-files per contact.

To install the Contact Alarm, you have two options (option 1 being the recommended way):

  1. Go via Skype's Extras site, which can be found here (Version 1.0.1 is available here now). Just hit the "Get it now" button and the plugin will install itself.
  2. Go via Skype's internal Extras Manager, which can be found by clicking on Tools->Do more->Get Extras. Then look for "Contact Alarm".
